2022 CIFTIS to be held in Beijing, Pakistan to participate

Beijing is making full preparations for the upcoming 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), which will accelerate the consumption recovery and upgrading in China, while providing opportunities for foreign companies to integrate into the country's vast services market, amid increasing global uncertainties and instabilities and the fragile global economic recovery.

CIFTIS will be held in Beijing from August 31 through September 5. This year, the exhibition area is 26,000 square meters larger than last year.

As of Monday, 71 countries, regions, and international organizations had confirmed to stage exhibitions or hold meetings at the CIFTIS, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Germany, the UK, and the World Meteorological Organization. 

Ten countries, including the UAE, Switzerland, Italy, and Australia, will hold exhibitions at the event in their countries' names for the first time.

Pakistan is also all set to participate in the supply chain and business services exhibition of the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) to be held in Beijing from September 1 to 5, featuring renowned Chinese and international business service providers and their achievements in innovation.

Pakistan Ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque and Commercial Counselor, Ghulam Qadir will attend the opening ceremony scheduled to be held on August 31.

The Pakistani side will also participate in other activities including the signing ceremony of the Royal Group and JW Group, the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Roundtable Seminar on Digital Trade with relevant organizations, an international forum on the development and investment of modern food supply chain, and Summit Forum on China's International Economic Cooperation Going Global.

China International Fair for Trade in Services (hereinafter referred to as "CIFTIS") is a comprehensive, state-level event with a global reach co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. Aiming to adapt to the rapid development of trade in services globally, it has become an important fair for spreading ideas, connecting supply and demand, sharing business opportunities, and promoting common development in the field of international trade in services.

As Pakistan is now on the brink of economic collapse due to declining foreign currency reserves and inflation, it is under a heavy load of unbearable debt. Thus Pakistan will benefit from the China International Fair for Trade in Services
