A team of Nepali parliamentarians have gone to Utter Pradesh in India upon invitation from Yogi Adityanath, who has been re-elected as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second term, to participate in the swearing-in ceremony.
A four-member delegation led by Federal Member of Parliament of the ruling Nepali Congress, Abhishek Pratap Shah, has left for Nepal to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
Former President of Kapilvastu Congress Rajesh Acharya, former member of Lumbini Development Fund Rajesh Gyawali and Congress candidate Ajay Thapa of Kapilvastu Constituency A are in the team.
Shah, an MP elected from Kapilvastu District Constituency No. 3 in Lumbini province bordering Uttar Pradesh, was invited by Yogi to participate through a telephone conversation the day after he won a majority in the state election.
The Nepali team is scheduled to return home on Saturday.
Yogi’s swearing-in ceremony which is set to be held at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow will be participated by top leaders of opposition parties, industrialists and artists. Of them Congress I’s national president Sonia Gandhi, industrialists like Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani and Ananda Mahindra and top Bollywood actors like Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Ajay Devgn, are participating the event.
According to Indian media, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are also coming to Lucknow to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
