The meeting today of the House of Representatives passed the 'Accreditation Bill 2078' with a majority.
Earlier, Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Minister Dilendra Prasad Badu had tabled the bill before the House for approval.
Responding to the questions raised by the parliamentarians on the bill, Minister Badu said that the purpose of the bill is to provide international recognition and to make goods and services available in international trade. This will facilitate national and international trade and contribute to the economic development of the country, he said.
MPs Dibyamani Rajbhandari, MP Nawaraj Silwal, and MP Prem Suwal participated in the discussion on the bill. The amendment proposed on the bill by MP Suwal however was rejected by the lower house.
The House of Representatives will meet again on August 18.
