The Mumbai Police have granted a licence for a personal gun to Bollywood star Salman Khan following death threats in June against him and his father, veteran writer Salim Khan, official sources said in Mumbai on Monday. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is allegedly the mastermind behind the killing of Moosewala, had issued a threat to Salman Khan.
The 56 years old star criminal record and background were checked before the firearm license was issued. The approval from Mumbai police headquarter came after standard procedure steps were cleared.
Recent reports also claimed that Salman khan upgraded his vehicle to a bulletproof land cruiser ever since he received the threats. The vehicle has apparently been fitted with armor and bulletproof glass.
