The promotion of 1,069 employees promoted by Prabhu Bank a month ago has been canceled.
Nepal Rastra Bank has decided to cancel the promotion on Thursday.
Prabhu Bank, which is in the process of merging with Century Bank, promoted a large number of employees at once about a month ago.
After that, Century Bank filed a complaint with Nepal Rastra Bank against the promotion.
The employees who were promoted including Dinesh Thakali and Renu Prasad Pandey were at the top management i.e. executive level.
Thakali, who was an Assistant General Manager, was promoted one level to Deputy General Manager.
Similarly, Renu Pandey, who was previously the Chief Manager, was appointed Assistant General Manager, and Rashmi Panta, who was a senior manager was promoted to chief manager.
Likewise, a dozen senior manager-level employees were promoted to chief managers.
The bank has more than three thousand employees.
