Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Hou Yanqi had a courtesy meeting with Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota. A meeting was held between them on Friday at the Speaker's official residence, Lainchaur.
The meeting was focused on the relations between the two countries and their mutual interests.
According to Speaker Sapkota’s Secretariat, the Speaker expressed happiness at Chinese support in Nepal’s development efforts and also reiterated Nepal’s commitment to the One China Policy during the meeting.
There was also a discussion between them regarding the reopening of the trade border between the two countries.
Similarly, in the meeting, Sapkota said that Nepal is aware of not allowing Nepali land to be used against neighboring countries.
Ambassador Yanqi expressed her commitment to supporting Nepal’s independence, sovereignty, national integrity, and development.
