Chinese Foreign Affairs Minister Yi returns home after completing three days official visit

 

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his delegation have returned home today afternoon after completing three days official visit to Nepal.

Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal and other officials of the Nepalis Ministry of Foreign Afairs saw them off at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Earlier this morning Yi paid a courtesy call to President Bidya Devi Bhandari and held talks about the issues of bilateral interest. Yi also met with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka during his stay. A nine-point agreement has also been signed between China and Nepal during Yi’s visit.

Before returning home Yi also met leaders of the major political parties including the main opposition party CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli. During the meeting Oli had asked Yi to work forward on the Belt and Road Initiation signed during his tenure. Similarly, CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also met with Yi who asked for the development of physical infrastructure development in the country.

The Chinese Foreign Minister had come to Nepal last Friday via India. Before that he had even reached Kabul.

During his Nepal visit Foreign Minister Yi also hiked in Shivpuri on Saturday one of his favourite hobby he takes part into when he is in Nepal.
