Chinese foreign minister Yi set to visit Nepal within March

If everything goes as planned, Chinese Minister for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi is all set to visit Nepal within March this year.

Multiple sources confirmed epardafas that Yi will visit any day within the current month. “But the date has not been fixed due to security reasons,” said a high-level security sources. It has also been learnt that the Chinese team will come on a surprise visit as to avoid any protest against them on the ground of human right issues or by the ‘free Tibetian’ campaigners.

Yi’s visit has been observed meaningful in the political diaspora as the government has recently ratified the US government backed Millennium Challenge Corporation despite China’s best effort to make Nepal reject the grant.

Chinese team has also asked the Nepali Foreign Ministry through diplomatic means to make environment for Yi’s  visit in Nepal.

Nepal’s Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka in a regular press meet yesterday had said that a high-level and important visit was going to happen in Nepal, without disclosing who will visit and on which date. “High level delegation will come to Nepal from neighboring countries,” Khadka had said.

Yi’s visit to Nepal will be the most significant visit of foreign delegates after Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba take oath of this position.
