Kathmandu, Sept 19: Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Devendra Paudel has said that collective effort is required to improve public education.
Speaking at an interaction organized by the National Examination Board here today, he said the quality of education will be improved if teachers, parents, and civil society members work together.
He pointed out that since there is an examination board to regulate school education, universities to regulate higher education, and the CTVT to regulate technical and vocational education expert suggestions are needed for further improvement.
Education Minister said that the number of enrollments has decreased due to the lack of interest in the subjects taught at the affiliate colleges and stressed the need for practical education. He expressed his belief that the calendar system will be implemented from Baisakh as it is necessary to improve school education. (RSS)
