A conference of tourism ministers of all seven provinces has been organized in Kathmandu today with the objective of revitalizing the country's tourism sector affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation organized the day-long conference, calling tourism ministers of the seven provinces in the federal capital, Kathmandu.
Discussion would be held on the laws and criteria set by the respective provincial governments regarding registration, permission, renewal, and regulations of hotels, rafting, travel agency, trekking agency, tourism transport service, and tour guides in the conference, according to the ministry.
Similarly, the conference would also discuss various issues including tourism-related rights, federal structure and inter-relation, responsibilities of federal, provincial, and local levels, policies and programs announced by the budget of the current fiscal year, revival action plan, and tourism infrastructure partnership program run by the local levels.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, inaugurated the conference this morning.
