Pakistan is facing one of the worst floods in its recent history. Reports say about 110 of the 150 districts in the country are affected by the flooding.
More than 1,191 people, including over 350 children, have lost their lives. 69,438 houses have been destroyed, while many public health facilities, water systems, and schools have been destroyed or damaged.
Earlier this week, the United Nations issued a “flash appeal” for a pitiful $160 million to provide food, sanitation, drinking water, and emergency education to flood victims in response to what it termed a “colossal crisis.”
Canada and the UK have pledged similarly derisory sums to Pakistan flood relief, $5 million and $1.5 million respectively.
Likewise many other nations around the globe are helping and pledging to help Pakistan with aid and fund.
The government of Nepal's aid and help for neighbor Pakistan hasn't been announced yet.
However, Dr . Bishal Dhakal from Nepal has started crowdfunding to help relief support floods victims in Pakistan. Dr.Dhakal announced this from his Twitter account.
He further requested that other interested people in this campaign to message him.
Dr.Dhakal also contributed NPR 10,001 from his side.
I am starting a crowdfunding to help relief support for flood in Pakistan. Willing folks can join in too. Kind folks please DM me.
