Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba who paying his first official visit to India on Friday at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Today, on the eve of his visit, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has announced the schedule of various activities and meetings he will undertake in India for three days.
According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, PM Deuba will leave Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi at 2.50 PM.
PM Deuba will be called on by Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar. The meeting will be held at Hotel ITC Maurya in Delhi at 4:30 PM.
After that, no program has been decided for tomorrow.
On Saturday, PM Deuba and the First Lady Dr. Arju Deuba will visit Rajghat and lay wreaths at the tomb of Mahatma Gandhi. The program is scheduled for 10:40 a.m.
Then his counterpart Modi will hold a meeting at Hyderabad House at 11 am. After this, at 12:15 pm, the Prime Ministers of both countries will address a joint press conference. In this program, there will be an exchange of views between Nepal and India on issues of mutual interest and concern.
On the same day, PM Deuba and Indian Indian Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will hold a meeting at the Vice President's residence at Maulana Azad Road. The program is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
The next day PM is scheduled to go to the religious destination of Banaras (Varanasi) in the state of Uttar Pradesh at 9 am along with members of the visiting team. He will participate in various religious and cultural programs there.
He will return to Delhi at 4 o'clock after completing his program in Benaras. Deuba’s team will finally leave India at 4:15 pm on Sunday after completing his three-day official visit there.
