Floods and landslides in Darchula: Death toll rises to five, seven still missing

The death toll in floods and landslides in Darchula has reached five. According to District Police Office Darchula, five people were killed due to the incessant rain last night in Salla village of Naugad Rural Municipality-2.

Manmati Karki of Mahakali-3, Nandaram Bohra of Mahakali-2, Mohanram Parki of Naugad-2, Janaki Thagunna of Naugad-1 and Dhanmati Thagunna of Naugad-1 have died .

Four people were buried in the landslide and one person was swept away by the flood.

Seven more people are missing due to floods and landslides.

The helicopter of the Nepalese army has reached the spot for rescue.
 Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police, and local people are searching for missing persons and are rescuing them.
