Home Minister Khand directs to release security guard Gurung

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed the release of security guard Sherjung Gurung detained on charges of misbehaving with Tourism Minister Jeevan Ram Shrestha from the VFS Global facility at Chhaya Center in Thamel.

Home Minister Khand on Monday asked the Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Govinda Rijal, to release security guard, Gurung, after completing the due process.

Police on Sunday had arrested security guard Gurung on the charge of misbehaving with Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha.

A dispute surfaced after Gurung asked Minister Shrestha, who had reached VSF for biometric registration, to follow the queue.
