Janata Pragatisheel Party Chairman Hridayesh Tripathi went to meet CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli at the Oli residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, on Monday.
In a meeting, the two leaders discussed the Citizenship Bill and the possible electoral coordination between the two parties.
Tripathi said he discussed the possibility of forming electoral coordination with the UML chair.
Tripathi had left his old Rastriya Janata Party Nepal just before the 2017 parliamentary elections and had contested and won the election as a CPN-UML candidate. Though Tripathi claimed he was a member of an independent political group during and after the election, legally, he has been a UML lawmaker.
During Oli’s tenure as Prime Minister, Tripathi also became the Minister of Health and Population.
