The General Impeachment Recommendation Committee of Parliament has asked for evidence of allegation against suspended Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jabara.
The committee’s secretariat issued a public notice on Friday requesting the concerned individuals and agencies to provide evidence and documents within three days.
The committee meeting held on Friday decided to seek evidence and documents from stakeholders on issues related to the impeachment allegation. According to the same decision, the committee called for evidence and documents.
The committee has summoned Jabara on 31 August 2022 for a statement.
Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana remains suspended since February 13, when the impeachment motion was registered in Parliament.
