Inauguration of a school building built in Bidur Municipality of Nuwakot with the grant help of the Government of India

The building of Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School, built in Bidur Municipality of Nuwakot, with the help of a grant from the Government of India, has been inaugurated.

On Tuesday, the Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy, Prashant Kumar Sona, and the Chief of District Coordination Committee, Nuwakot, Rajindravikram Singh Thakuri jointly inaugurated the school building.

After the inauguration, the District Coordination Committee handed the ownership of the building to Bidur Municipality.

Bidur Municipal Mayor Rajan Shrestha, leaders of political parties, educationists, government officials, and civil society representatives were present in the program.

The school building was constructed as a community development project at a cost of NRs 2 crore 50 lakh under the India-Nepal development cooperation program of the Government of India.

According to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, It is one of the 75 projects to be inaugurated in Nepal this year which was headed by the Government of India as a part of "India@75 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" to celebrate the 75th India independence.

This school was established in 1951 AD. Indian engineer KI Singh, who came for the Trishuli hydroelectric project, designed this school.

More than 1343 students are studying in this school, of which 60 percent are female students.

The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu believes that the construction of this new structure with the help of the government of India will provide a good educational environment for the students.

Since 2003, India has initiated more than 527 high-impact community development projects in Nepal, Among them, 470 projects have been completed in all the seven provinces of Nepal in the fields of health, education, drinking water, connectivity, sanitation, and other public facilities.

Among them, there are 103 projects in Bagmati province, and 7 in the Nuwakot district.
