India’s Ministry of Health today issued a revised guidelines for international passengers lifting Nepal as a country ‘at-risk’. It also lifted a mandatory rule to produce PCR report for Nepalis traveling to India starting February 14.
The Indian government, eased the restrictions on overseas arrivals, has decided to allow travellers from 82 countries including Nepal to travel in their country without the prior hassels. The travellers can now upload their certificate of completion of Covid-19 vaccination instead of prior mandatory RT-PCR negative results.
The vaccination status details shall be provided in a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha online portal before scheduled travel.
It has also liftend the 7-day long self / home isolation and the COVID test on the eight day. However, the travellers are asked to include details of their 14-day travel history in the portal. Self evaluate of one's health condition is required and in case of positive COVID symptoms they are required to stay in isolation.
India in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic had taken a stern move to disallow foreign nationals enter the country without PCR report on 2020.
