Indian Army Chief Manoj Pande pays courtesy call on PM Deuba

Chief of Indian Army, General Manoj Pandey, who is on an official five days visit to Nepal, had a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday.

General  Pandey reached the Prime Minister's Office Singhdarbar along with his five-member delegation and senior officials of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.

Prime Minister Deuba discussed various issues with the Chief of the Indian Army, General Manoj Pandey, and other officials presented there.

Earlier on Monday, President Bidya Devi Bhandari conferred Pande with the insignia of the honorary title of the General of the Nepal Army at a special ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

On Tuesday General Pandey made an onsite visit to Nepal Army Command and Staff College in Shivapuri. 

He is scheduled to visit Pashupatinath Temple today evening.

General Pandey is scheduled to visit the Muktinath temple in Mustang district on Tuesday morning and then is also scheduled to visit the central command headquarters of the Nepal Army in Pokhara on the same day.

The Indian Army Chief, who is on a five-day visit to Nepal, will return home on Thursday.
