General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff (CoAS), Indian Army, has met his Nepali counterpart CoAS General Prabhu Ram Sharma at the latter's office at the Army Headquarters on Monday.
In a meeting, military cooperation and mutual interests between the two countries were discussed.
General Manoj Pande also handed over various non-lethal military items to General Prabhu Ram Sharma.
The Indian army chief is on a five–day visit to Nepal at the official invitation of CoAS Sharma.
The Chief of the Indian Army, General Manoj Pande, inspected a guard of honor presented to him by a contingent of the Nepali Army at the Army Headquarters this morning.
On the occasion, Gen Pande also planted a sapling on the premises of the main building at the Army Headquarters.
Prior to this, he laid a wreath and paid tributes to the ‘Brave Soldier’ at the Bir Smarak at the army pavilion, Tundikhel.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari will confer on General Pande the insignia of the honorary title of General of the Nepali Army at a special ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhawan today.
