A 31-member team of the Indian Army came to Nepal for a five-day visit. A 31-member visiting team including students participating in the 'National Defense Course-62' conducted at the National Defense College in New Delhi arrived in Nepal on Sunday. Visiting team is led by Air Vice Marshal Tejveer Singh.
They are scheduled to visit various religious and touristic places . Similarly, they will hold high-level meetings during their visit to Nepal till September 1.
During the five-day visit to Nepal, the delegation will meet Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma and Foreign Minister will pay a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka. They are also scheduled to visit the military base on Monday itself. Similarly, there is a program to visit the central command headquarters in Pokhara on Tuesday.
Besides, the group will visit various tourist spots in Kathmandu and Pokhara including Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Lumbini.
The Nepali Army is confident that this kind of visit from the neighboring friendly countries will help to strengthen the military relations between the two countries and also help in the promotion of Nepal's tourism.
