Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has said that he is eager to visit Nepal and go for the pilgrimage at Hindus’ most sacred Pashupatinath temple.
Yogi Adityanath, who openly proclaims to advocate for Hindu fundamentalism, told this to the Nepali team that had gone to Uttar Pradesh to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of the reelected Chief Minister.
Yogi was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on Friday. This is his second term. A team lead by Nepali Congress Member of Parliament Abhishek Pratap Shah had reached Uttar Pradesh to participate in the function.
During his visit leader Shah had invited Chief Minister Yogi to visit Nepal. Replying to the request Yogi said that he has been long looking forward to visit Nepal and the holy shrines at Pashupatinath and Lumbini.
According to Nepali Congress leader Rajesh Gyawali from Kapilvastu who had also gone UP for the swearing in ceremony, CM Yogi said his visit to Nepal will be very soon in the future. Yogi representing India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won in Uttar Pradesh the largest state in India.
On Thursday, a Nepali parliamentary delegation left for India. The team included MP Shah, leader Gyawali, former president of Congress Kapilvastu Rajesh Acharya and Congress candidate Ajay Thapa of Kapilvastu Constituency No. ka.
