INNJA condemns killing of three journalists by Russian military in Ukraine war

International Network for Nepali Journalists, an umbrella organization for all journalists abroad, has condemned the series of attack and killings of journalists by Russian military during the Ukraine invasion.

Killing of three journalists in the past one week by the Russian force is very saddening news, INNJA said.

INNJA has also called on the Russian government to stop targeting journalists on assignment in Ukraine's war zones.

INNJA has declared that Russia's killing of journalists is a clear war crime and a violation of press freedom and the professional rights of the press.

It also paid tribute to journalists Brett Reynolds, Oleksandra "Sasha" Kuvshynova, 24, and Fox News cameraperson Pierre Zakrzewski, 55.

American journalist Reynolds was shot dead by Russian forces in Kyiv while attending a Time magazine assignment. British journalist Benjamin Hall was also injured.

INNJA appealed to the world community to stand together against such criminal acts and to create a free and safe environment for journalists working in the war zone in Ukraine.
