IRC to call and question all names mentioned in suspended CJ Rana statement

The Impeachment Recommendation Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) has decided to question all those names mentioned by suspended Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana during his statement.

The committee has invited former justices, office-bearers, members of the Nepal Bar Association, and political leaders, among others, for questioning on Wednesday.

We will seek comments of the individuals named by Rana during his statement to the committee, Nepali Congres Whip Min Bishwakarma, who is also a member of the committee, said.

"As we have time constraints, we will invite them on the same day for questioning," he added.

Suspended Chief Justice Rana mentioned the names of CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, UML Vice Chairman Bishnu Paudel,  CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, Nepali Congress Joint General Secretary Mahalakshmi Upadhyay Dina, Supreme Court Judge Harikrishna Karki, Former Nepal Bar Association President Chandeshwar Shrestha, Senior Advocate Shambhu Thapa, Advocate Om Prakash Aryal during the statement with the parliamentary committee.
