KMC Deputy Mayor Dangol supports campaign to demolish illegally-built structures

Sunita Dangol, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City has extended her support to the KMC’s campaign of demolishing illegally-built structures in Kathmandu.

Taking to social media, Dangol said that she has full support for the campaign to demolish illegally-built structures in Kathmandu.

Deputy Mayor  Dangol’s clarification comes at a time when people have raised concern over her absence in the campaign in which Mayor Balen Shah is actively involved.

"However, for a few days now, my attention has been drawn to the news that some online media have been spreading by connecting me with the latest campaign of the Metropolitan, creating confusion among citizens. The field of journalism is considered as the fourth part of the nation. I do not think it is necessary to explain the three principles of journalism, truth, balance, and credibility, to my journalist friends who are constantly in the field of journalism," she said. 

She also reminded that she is conscious and aware of her agenda to further develop Kathmandu's metropolis as a truly clean, beautiful, vibrant, and organized cultural city.
