Millennium Challenge Account Nepal Development Committee, under Ministry of Finance today issued a issued a 35-day notice for the public to vacate the land areas that has been acquired for the construction of a substation under the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact agreement.
According to the notice, the MCA has already published the information from Nuwakot District Administration Offices on different dates and the compensation and rehabilitation assistance amounts have been determined and its distribution have already completed. It also said of transferring the ownership of land from public as per the notice.
‘It is now necessary to secure the acquired land area through fencing as to build the approved sub-station. So everyone who have taken compensation and rehabilitation assistance are requested to clear the area within 35 days,” the notice reads.
The MCA is required to comlete its mission in five years time.
