Meeting between Chief of Army Staff and Utah National Guard Chief

A meeting between Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma and the Adjutant General of the Utah National Guard of the US Army, Major General Michael J. Turley, took place at the Janggi Adda on Tuesday.

During the meeting held in the office of Chief of Army Staff Sharma, issues of mutual interest and mutual relations were discussed.

The Utah National Guard, which assists the U.S. military in emergencies, is made up of two branches of the Army, the Utah Army National Guard and the Utah Air National Guard. The Adjutant General is the military commander of both branches. 

The mission of the Utah National Guard is to provide ready-made military forces to assist state and federal authorities in times of emergency or war.

The Military Public Relations and Information Directorate said that the Nepal Army is confident that such a meeting would further help in strengthening the existing mutual relations between the two countries' armies.
