A total of 912 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours as of Friday.
This was detected in 6,491 samples tested through RT-PCR and antigen method in various laboratories across the country, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
During the same period, 370 recovered from the infection.
Meanwhile, 1 person has succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll to 11,970 so far.
The number of active cases stands at 5,760 in the country.
