Nepal reports 1090 new COVID cases

A total of 1090 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 6,300 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Currently, there are 5,806 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation of which, 213 are admitted to institutional isolation while 5,593 patients are placed in home isolation. Out of which 61 are in ICU and seven are on ventilator support. 

Similarly, 438  infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

2 more coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,974.
