Nepal reports 815 new COVID cases, 5 deaths

A total of  815 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4534 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Currently, there are 5,869 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation of which, 192 are admitted to institutional isolation while 5,677 patients are placed in home isolation. Out of which 60 are in ICU and eight are on ventilator support. 

Similarly, 476  infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Nepal has now recorded 974,295 cases of recovery, and the recovery rate is at 98.2 percent.

5 more coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,982.
