Niharika Rajput, a single mother, has been detained by the police on Friday afternoon.
She reached Sheetal Niwas for a sit-in protest but was arrested by police in front of the President's residence.
Niharika, who is on a hunger strike demanding justice was apprehended by police after attempting self-immolation in front of the presidential office by spraying gasoline on her body.
Niharika claims that a man from Dhanusha raped her by giving her drugs when she was 17 years old. She gave birth to a son after becoming pregnant because of the rape. She demands that action be taken against that individual.
She has been demanding justice for a long time.
