Nine people have been arrested by the police on the charge of murdering the Bhutanese refugee, Lal Bahadur Gurung, 44 of Beldangi camp in Jhapa.
The District Police Office, Ilam announced the arrest on Friday morning.
SP Dilip Ghimire, District Police Chief said that the Gurung was called near the Suspension bridge of Ratuwa River on the border of Jhapa and Ilam and was beaten to death.
Gurung was attacked with knives and stones.In connection with the incident, police have arrested Shiv Hinghang, 25, Naresh Kumar Yakkha, 29, , Abhishek Kerung, 29, Seseyang Yakkha, 20, Santu, 33, Chandrakumar Yava, 35, Dumbar Yava, 35. Narendra Tumrok, 35, Vikram Hingmang, 26 (Nepali), and Parshu Rai, 29.
