
Nitish Kumar has resigned from the post of Chief Minister after splitting with BJP for the second time in eight years.
Along with this, he has staked a claim to form a new government with 160 MLAs. They are going to form a new government in Bihar with the Grand Alliance. Kumar is soon likely to announce a tie-up with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led Grand Alliance.
He met Governor Phagu Chauhan today afternoon and submitted his resignation.
The alliance of Janata Dal-U and BJP has broken in Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has taken this decision in a meeting of JDU MLAs, MPs, and all senior leaders on Tuesday.
