Pakistan to establish trade collaboration with Gulf Cooperation Council

 

Pakistani foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has expressed confidence to establish trade cooperation between Pakistan and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in the near future.

 

Talking to the media along with GCC Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al Hajraf in Islamabad today minister Qureshi said that Pakistan desires to develop economic partnership with the Gulf countries.

 

The Foreign Minister also expressed that the GCC will further progress in the Presidency of Saudi Arabia.

 

Further he added that he apprised the Secretary General about grave human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and also informed the Secretary General about the situation in Afghanistan.

 

Earlier, in a delegation-level meeting, both sides reviewed GCC-Pakistan cooperation in different sectors.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Shah Mahmood Qureshi emphasized on looking for new avenues of cooperation in diverse fields between Pakistan and GCC countries. 

 

Both the sides agreed to finalize the joint action plan for Strategic Dialogue 2022-26 aimed at promoting bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and GCC nations in various fields, including security, trade, investment, agriculture and food security, energy, environment, health, culture and education.
