Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka has made it clear that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba visited the headquarters of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) only as the president of the Nepali Congress.

While it is being discussed that the meeting between Prime Minister Deuba and the BJP leaders was against diplomatic dignity, Minister Khadka said that he had made the visit not as the Prime Minister but as the party president.

Replying to a question posed by media persons in a very special room at the Tribhuvan International Airport after Prime Minister Deuba returned home on Sunday evening, he said that Prime Minister Deuba, who is also the President of the Nepali Congress, had visited the headquarters in Delhi to strengthen ties between the two parties.

Foreign Minister Khadka said, "It is not right to think that this is against the diplomatic dignity." As the President of the Nepali Congress, the Nepali Congress has been maintaining friendly relations with the parties of different countries. The Nepali Congress also has good relations with the Communist Party of China. Similarly, the Congress party of India has the same. And, now he is not in the Bharatiya Janata Party as the Prime Minister. As he is the president of the Nepali Congress, he has gone to the head office of the BJP to expand the relationship between the two parties.
