Britain’s new Prime Minister Liz Truss made her first call as PM soon after taking office on Tuesday.

She spoke with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky on her first call with a foreign leader.

She accepted an invitation for her to visit Ukraine and told Zelensky that Britain would continue to extend full support to Ukraine as before.

President Zelensky thanked the Prime Minister for the UK’s staunch support and congratulated her on her appointment.

The leaders discussed the need to strengthen global security and the measures necessary to cut off the funds fuelling Putin’s war machine.
