President Bidya Devi Bhandari has granted amnesty to 681 prisoners completing the specified sentence and those who are yet to complete their jail term.
On the occasion of Constitution Day-2079 BS, President Bhandari granted amnesty to these convicts.
President Bhandari granted amnesty to these convicts on the recommendation of the cabinet meeting held on September 16.
The amnesty was granted in accordance with Article 276 of the Constitution of Nepal and Criminal Offenses (Punishment Determination and Implementation) Act-2074 BS.
