Restoration work of the 18th century octagonal Krishna temple in Patan Durbar area, which was damaged by the earthquake of 2072 BS, has been completed.
The temple has been reconstructed in collaboration with the Kathmandu Valley Conservation Fund, the Department of Archeology and the US Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation.
The temple was jointly inaugurated by US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry and Lalitpur Metropolitan Chief Chiribabu Maharjan on Thursday.
The U.S. embassy said the completion of the Patan temple restoration work was a "milestone" in bilateral relations.
The Embassy noted that the United States is committed to supporting the preservation of Nepal's unique cultural heritage for generations, and that this event is a testament to the vibrant US-Nepal partnership.
