RPP Chair Lingden to resign as MP

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chair Rajendra Lingden will announce his resignation as a member of parliament.

The RPP chair, Lingden is preparing to announce his resignation during his address to the House of Representatives.

He is about to resign as a lawmaker due to his disagreement on extending the life of the existing House of Representatives even when the date for the election for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assemblies has been fixed on November 20.

RPP had been opposing the bill introduced by the government to continue the tenure of the House of Representatives even after the announcement of the general elections.
