The Central Security Committee on Thursday held discussion about the effectiveness of security arrangement in view of local level elections stated for coming May 13.
The meeting presided over by Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand at Singhadurbar discussed the strategic measures to make the election free and fair.
Spokesperson of the Home Ministry Fanindramani Pokharel shared that the chiefs and representatives of security agencies attending the meeting had briefed about the preparation made so far for security in view of local elections.
The meeting focused on how to make security arrangements further effective.
On the occasion, Minister Khand appreciated the security plans presented by security chiefs and directed the home ministry administration and security agencies to not leave any stone unturned for ensuring free and fair election from security point of view.
Also present on the meeting were Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey, Defense Secretary Kiran Raj Sharma, IGP of Nepal Police Shailesh Thapa, IGP of Armed Police Force Pushparam KC, Balkrishna Karki from Nepal Army, Chief of National Investigation Department Yadulal Kharel, Home Spokesperson Pokharel along with other security officials and office-bearers of home ministry.
