Student Unions close to ruling parties protested against President

Students belonging to the ruling coalition took out a protest rally on Thursday against President Bidya Devi Bhandari's decision to not authenticate the Citizenship Bill.

The student organizations took out the rally from Maitighar Mandala to New Baneshwar.

The student Unions close to the ruling parties had decided to protest on Wednesday saying that the President has violated the constitution by not authenticating the Bill sent to her by the Federal Parliament for certification. They also opined that "Although the President has the power to return the bill to the Parliament for once but does not have the right not to certify the bill that has come for re-certification for the second time".
