The parliamentary committee has decided to summon Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to get information about his visit to the United States.
A meeting of the International Relations Committee under the House of Representatives held at Singha Durbar on Monday decided to invite the Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister to the committee to discuss the implementation of foreign policy, said committee chairperson Pabitra Niraula Kharel.
She said that the discussion on the implementation of foreign policy has started in the meeting of the committee. Chairperson Kharel said that she would invite the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister to the meeting of the committee to discuss issues including Prime Minister Deuba's visit to the United States.
"We have started the meeting on the implementation of foreign policy. This issue has been clarified by all the members. We are going to invite the Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister in the coming days. The committee will convene a meeting of the committee and hold a wide-ranging discussion, 'she said.
The main opposition party UML had demanded that the parliament be informed about Prime Minister Deuba's visit to the United States.
