A meeting of the Central Security Committee has been held under the chairmanship of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand. Home Secretary Teknarayan Pandey said that security arrangements for the National Assembly elections were discussed at a meeting held at the Home Ministry in Singha Durbar.
"The meeting of the security committee discussed how to provide security for the National Assembly elections," said Home Secretary Pandey.
Election is being held on January 26 to elect 19 members of the National Assembly.
The meeting was chaired by Home Minister Khand. Home Secretary Pandey, Defense Secretary Begendra Raj Sharma Poudyal, VCOAS Bal Krishna Karki of Nepal Army, Inspector General of Nepal Police Shailesh Thapa Chhetri, Inspector General of Armed Police Force Shailendra Khanal, Chief of National Investigation Department Ganesh Prasad Adhikari and Chief Joint Secretary of Home Ministry And Home Ministry spokesman Pradip Koirala was participated in meeting.
