Three of a same family killed in Achham landslide

Three members of the same family died when a landslide buried a house at Bhulu in Turmakhand Rural Municipality-2 of Achham on Monday.

According to the District Police Office, Achham, the landslide buried the house of Amar Bista at around 1 am today.

Amar’s brother Birendra, son Sambidan, and daughter-in-law Harikala Bista died on the spot, according to Ward Chairperson Narendra Bahadur Shahi.

Another family member, Naina Bista (65), was injured in the accident, and she is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Amar Bista was not in the house when the incident occurred, DSP Narayan Dangi of the District Police Office, Achham said.
