Today these groups are being given a 'booster dose' against covid

The Ministry of Health and Population has decided to give an additional dose of vaccine against Covid-19 to the target group from today.

Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry, informed that one more dose of vaccine will be given to the target person who has been vaccinated against COVID-19 for three months. He said that additional vaccine is being given to the target group from the vaccination center.

The ministry has stated that the amount of additional vaccine will be given from all the vaccination centers except the vaccination center for children.

In addition to children, wherever vaccination centers have been started, the target group will have to carry a doctor's recommendation and a two-dose vaccination card for additional vaccinations. An additional dose of the vaccine would be given to people with weakened immune systems, not booster doses, the official said.

Additional doses of the same vaccine will be given as before. On the recommendation of the Covid-19 Vaccine Advisory Committee, the Ministry is about to give one more dose of vaccine.

The ministry also targeted people with moderate to severe immunodeficiency, active cancer patients, organ transplant patients, HIV infected patients, patients taking immunosuppressive drugs during treatment and senior citizens 60 years and above who have been vaccinated with Verosel or Synoform vaccines. An additional dose of vaccine is being given.
