The CPN (UML) has organized a walkathon today on the occasion of Constitution Day.
The walkathon started from different parts of Kathmandu Valley—Baneshwor, Maitidevi, Lainchour, Kalimati, and Kupandole and reached Basantapur.
Chairperson of the CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, senior Vice-Chair Ishwor Pokharel, General-Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, as well as other top leaders participated in the walkathon. Leaders and cadres of the party carried the national flag of the country.
Deputy-Chief of the CPN (UML) Publicity Department, Bishnu Rijal, said the event was organized to protect the constitution promulgated by the Constitution Assembly.
Leaders and cadres of the CPN (UML) and its sister organizations as well as well-wishers of the party joined the march.
