US Ambassador Berry meets PM Deuba

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry have held talks .

It has been learnt that the talks was centered on the heated issue of Millennium Challenge Corporation, $500 grant by the US, which have become the main topic of national politics these days.

Yesterday a massive protest by fringe communist parties had staged demonstration against the MCC chanting slogans against the US. while, the ruling NC had to backtrack from it's long stance to table the MCC in yesterday meeting of House of Representatives.

After the dramatic development of political activities regarding the MCC yesterday, ambassador Berry  had gone to PM's official residence, Baluwatar to discuss the issue with PM Deuba.

As per sources ambassador Berry expressed interest in the MCC approval process.
