In an event held in Kathmandu, US Ambassador Randy Berry congratulated the Nepalese mountaineers who climbed the top of Mount Denali, the highest peak in America by carrying the flag of Nepal-US friendship during the 75th anniversary of Nepal-US relations.
Those Nepalese mountaineers Karma Tenjing, Mingma Sherpa, Changdawa Sherpa, Mingma Gybu Sherpa, Zangbu Sherpa, Pasang Dawa Sherpa, and Karma Gyalje Sherpa carried the flag of Nepal-US friendship to the top of Mount Denali.
Earlier, Nepali mountaineer, Pasang Phurba Sherpa was also involved with this team in the campaign to bring the same flag to the top of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest.
The mountain that usually takes three weeks to climb was completed by those climbers in three days.
Ambassador Berry also received the 75th Nepal-US Friendship flag from the Nepalese mountaineers at that event.
He said that it was his honor to receive the flag.
