US House Speaker Begins Asia Tour

The Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, has started her tour of the Asian countries. 

Speaker Pelosi, leading a parliamentary delegation, will visit Indo-Pacific countries including Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan, according to Reuters. 

According to Reuters, the agendas for the visit include mutual security, economic cooperation, and democratic governance with countries of the Indo-Pacific region. 

International media say Speaker Pelosi’s possible visit to Taiwan has been removed from the latest schedule after China’s fierce objection.
