The total amount of this bill, called the Inflation Reduction Act, is worth $700 billion.
According to the BBC, the bill is a major national agenda put forward by President Joe Biden.
Officials have mentioned that under this bill the US will reduce its carbon emissions by 40 percent by 2030.
The BBC has mentioned that this bill aims to reduce the cost of healthcare and increase taxes on corporate houses.
This bill will become a law after it is passed by the lower house of the US Congress and signed by President Biden.
